Collective work on the interrelation between shrimp farming and the environment in Mexico, with emphasis on the Mexican Pacific. It addresses the biology and zoogeography of penaeid shrimp, the fauna associated with aquaculture ponds, the impact of aquaculture on water quality and coastal ecosystems, and the environmental regulations of the sector.
